It's been a while since I have been active, but we went on Vacation to Rhode Island and took some photos. Here are a few of someone I met while at the Beavertail Lighthouse in Jamestown, RI. More to come.

So I went out for a photography drive yesterday to work on some of my school work. I knew it wasnt an ideal day for photos, but I knew I might be able to get a couple things done. Well, I didn't get to take any photos with my camera thanks to the rain in the area I was wanting to get photos in, including this view of Mt. Monadnock.

This weeks challenge was to photograph something that is common. It could be anything. For "Extra Credit" you could have that photo contain a certain product. What is more common in a lot of peoples lives than coffee?

This weeks challenge was just that, a challenge. Not a user of Photoshop, I had to get creative. After several attempts of trying to capture this ball in focus, I finally achieved the shot. Is this true levitation? Well no, but it does give the appearance of levitation.

With this weeks theme being architecture, I had nothing pop into my head to go take a photo of. While out last Monday driving around, an idea popped into my head and we found ourselves in Maine. The Nubble Lighthouse(Cape Neddick Light) in York, ME is a great example of historic architecture! Getting to Sohier Park with total darkness encroaching fast, I was able to get a shot that I absolutely love!

Where am I? This is a shot I took when working on this weeks 52 Frames Architecture challenge. I can't post the actual photo I submitted until Tuesday, but do you know what it might be? Tell me what you think in the comments!

This weeks neglected challenge started off rough. I went for a ride to an area that I had use to travel heading to work that had plenty of old buildings that told their tales of neglect. Upon getting to that area, what I had envisioned in my mind was quickly deflated as the buildings were gone.  So I spent the rest of the week trying to find inspiration and decided to take this photo showing neglect within the community. 

Something new entailed taking a photo of something with a new technique, something that is new, something different from how you take a picture(i.e. Manual mode instead of auto), etc...    For this shot, I purchased one of these Lense Balls. Refraction photography is not something that is easy to do, but I decided to make it my something new. The results aren't that bad for my first go at this technique.

​This weeks challenge involves leading lines; lines within a photo that draws the viewers eyes to a specific spot in the photo. I decided to go and take this photo after my schooling adviser told me that a photo I had used for my photo assignment from this location would be a good representation of leading lines.
